Centrex Challenge

The Centrex Challenge is a 12-week program where individuals push themselves towards their goals as part of a competition. Each individual identifies his/her own goals which the Centrex team turns into steps towards attainment.  It is this goal attainment and a winning attitude that allows the Challenge to support different people with different goals whether it is weight loss, decreasing body fat, increasing strength or endurance or whatever. It's not just the end result but how the journey along the path that also counts.

So what does the Challenge require of you and what should you expect? Once you've entered the Challenge, the Centrex team will weigh and measure you and determine your bodyfat ratio.  Then using your goals, the team use the BioAnalogics program as a guide to determine your nutritional needs and the minimum steps to reach your goals.  These steps are mini-goals such as Body Sculpt, Spin and Yoga classes in addition to other training components to meet your challenge.

The nutritional and training requirements will be placed in a binder along with your physical measurements and a BEFORE picture.  You'll update the binder with the hand-outs from the occasional Tuesday night meetings as well as your diet diary and exercise tracking as well as any information you find interesting and useful.  The Tuesday night meetings are mandatory and are about an hour or so long.  The intent is to share information - and Challengers will sometimes have to present - as well as provide encouragement.  There is also a set of message boards available where Challengers and other gym members can post information and words of encouragement.  Halfway through the Challenge you will again be weighed and measured to help you track where you are relative to your goals.

At the end of the program, you'll need to write an essay that describes your path along the Challenge.  This will go in your binder to be turned in for evaluation as will a final weigh-in and measurement session complete with an AFTER photo.  The evaluation will be based on a variety of factors. The last meeting will be a celebration of a successful Challenge as evaluated binders are returned and awards and prizes are given out.
