Silver Sneakers

Class Descriptions

Body Sculpting

Strengthen and tone your body and target those forgotten muscles that many workouts miss.  Classes emphasize strengh training and toning, as well as endurance, balance and flexibility, in an ever changing format geared to all levels.  In addition to weight training, instructors also teach kickboxing, Pilates, resistance bands. stability balls and step aerobics.  Beginners are shown and encouraged to perform modified versions of more advanced moves; they also can choose lighter dumbells and progress upward as their strength improves.  Fun for all levels. 



Spin Class

Build your cardio endurance in this invigorating aerobic workout that simulates an actual bicycle ride.  Pedal to all types of lively music as the instructor guides you through a profile of ever-changing speeds, techniques and resistance levels.  Sprints, hill climbs and jumps are some of the techniques that promise a challenging workout for all levels.  Beginners start with lighter resistance, speed and modified techniques allowing them to enjoy the same classes as more advanced riders.  Don't forget your hand towel and water bottle - you're going to sweat!



Yoga

Improve your body and  mind through a variety of traditional Yoga moves that focus on strengh, balance  and flexibility.  Instructors show modified versions of most poses so that even beginners can enjoy the same classes as more advanced students.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own mat.

A blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially-oriented programs for older active adults.
