Angie

Angie has been working at Centrex since November of 2000, teaching group classes in body sculpting, spinning and yogafit. Also a personal trainer, she was certified by AAAI/ISMA in 1997 and by ACE in 1999. She became certified for Spinning by Madd Dogg Athletics in 2000 and by YogaFit in 2001. Her previous experience includes teaching at Power of One in Lincroft and teaching and personal training at Gold's in Middletown. A wife and mother of two (almost) grown children, Angie abandoned a fast-track career in public relations and writing to pursue her love of fitness. Today, Centrex feels like a second home to her.

 

   
Barbara

Barbara joined the team at Centrex as a Fitness Instructor in June 2006.  She currently teaches both Spinning and Strength/Conditioning classes in our club.

Barbara has been working in the fitness industry for close to ten years in various capacities including Membership Advisor, Fitness Instructor and Director of Class Activities.  Her certifications include AAAI/ISMA Primary Aerobic Instructor, Mad Dogg Athletics Johnny G. Spinning and American Red Cross CPR/AED.

 

chris   Chris

Chris has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has been teaching
yoga for 5 years. His certification comes from the International
Sivananda Vedanta yoga center. Sivananda style is a classic yoga style that follows a specific sequence of postures along with balanced breathing. This class is designed to bring lightness, strength and energy. It also provides a therapeutic effect on the physiology.

Chris's yoga class is held every Monday 7:30-9:00pm.

 

dot   Dot

Dot is a competitive road cyclist who has taught Spin Classes here at Centrex since 1999. Dot has raced for 3DRacingTeam beginning in 2000, winning the NJ State Time Trial Championship for her age in 2001. Dot began riding a bike as part of her physical rehabilation after both her legs broke due to a congenital bone deficency and she hasn't stopped riding since.

As an experienced endurance athlete and mom, Dot brings unique insight into her classes, not to mention, the BEST music. Dot is currently studying for the ACE Personal Training certification and plans to focus on endurance training and working with teens.

 

 kristine   Kristine

2007 will mark Kristine's 20th year of teaching aerobics and fitness classes.  She started teaching aerobics in high school and went on to graduate from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports.  She managed corporate fitness programs for J&J, AT&T and her own small business until she earned her Masters degree in Education.  She now spends her days teaching fifth grade, but continues to teach Spinning, Pilates, step and aerobics/conditioning classes and loves her classes here on Monday nights.  Kristine is married and has 2 beautiful kids with one more on the way!

 

Lauren   Lauren
 

Lauren graduated from Monmouth University in 1999 with a BS in
Marketing and has been a resident of Middletown for 21 years. Not only does she work full-time as a portfolio manager, she is a certified aerobics instructor who started teaching at the local YMCA in 1999. Shecame to Centrex as an instructor in January 2002. She teaches high impact cardio spin classes. She also leads a step class, combined with a total body sculpting session using weights for toning all body parts as well as a strong ab workout.

 

liz   Liz

Liz graduated Desales University with a Degree in social work. She worked as an activity director for The Willows Assisted Living in Holmdel for two years. She then got certified for personal training in June of 2000 and began working at Centrex Sports Club in November of 2002. Liz has multiple jobs here at Centrex including personal training, new member training orientations, running the front desk and teaching classes. All of her personal training is done at Centrex and is conducted on a half-hour or hour basis for one-on-one or buddy training.

  Sal

Sal is a spin instructor; Johnny G. certified since spring of 2002. He started spinning at his first Challenge in 2001. Sal was initially reluctant to go to class, but Joe came to the rescue. Sal was a medal winner in Centrex Challenge 2001, and received a Mr. Motivation medal in Centrex Challenge 2002.

Sal's class is held Thursday night at 7 pm. Open to beginners to expert level spinning enthusiasts. Whether sprinting to tekno or climbing to classic rock, Sal guarantees a high-end cardio workout and a great time.
